cowspiracy review

Is the movie Cowspiracy a trick to get us into veganism

A new movie is out called Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret.

According to the official website, Cowspiracy is a:

… groundbreaking feature length environmental documentary, following an intrepid filmmaker as he uncovers the most destructive industry facing the planet today and investigates why the world’s leading environmental organizations are too afraid to talk about it.

Cowspiracy makes a bold claim.

This movie deduces that animal agriculture accounts for over 50% of all CO2 gas emissions.

In simple speak, beef is killing our planet.

Film directors Kip Andersen and Keegan Kuhn created this documentary to mimic Al Gore’s famous film “An Inconvenient Truth.”

The punchline is this: Cowspiracy decides for us that a shift to Veganism is the way to fight back against the beef industry.

Yes, an entirely plant-based diet is the filmmaker’s solution.

Vegetarians do not eat meat, fish, or poultry…

Vegans, are even more extreme…

They do not use other animal products and by-products. This includes eggs, dairy products, honey, leather, fur, silk, wool, cosmetics, and soaps derived from animal products.

(Yes, even the half and half in our coffee is forbidden.)

The million dollar question is this: are we humans healthiest eating an exclusively plant-based diet?

John Adams and I have a (mostly) unbiased “meaty” conversation about Cowspiracy here:
