Find out which predictions did not come true.
Marketers know fear numbs out minds and prevents us from making rational decisions... that's why we buy stuff we really don't need when we hear, "... Order within the next 7 minutes."
With that said, here's my list of things we've been told since birth that has not come true:
Powell Biden generated crisis
On Meet The Press, Colin Powell warned us about a pending even on or around January 21st or 22nd:
"The problems will always be there and there's going to be a crisis which will come along on the 21st, 22nd of January that we don't even know about right now."
Later that day, Joe Biden said,"So there are going to be a lot of tough decisions that Barack's gonna have to make... a lot of very tough decisions, including on foreign policy. And here's the point I want to make. Mark my words. Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year old President of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here... if you don't remember anything else I said... watch, we're going to have an international crisis... a generated crisis to test the mettle of this guy. He's going to have to make some really tough... I don't know what that decision's going to be. But I promise you it will occur. As a student of history and having served with seven President, I guarantee you it's going to happen. I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate."
It never happened.

The Bird Flu
Over the last few years, we've been getting a steady dose of fear mongering about avian bird flu... promising millions and millions would die just as we did during the 1918 Spanish Flu... so far in 7 years, just 245 have died.

Gold as a hedge
There's a huge push to convince us to buy gold as a hedge against inflation or as a "great investment."
The fact is on January 21, 1980, gold was priced at $870... yet 28 years later gold is actually worth LESS... $742 as of today (11/16/2008) -- a loss of 15% of your investment if you sold it.
If you traded gold as a short-term investment, the picture gets worse for you... the moving 30-year average of the price of gold is around $450... almost half of what it was in 1980.
The "Pay"troit "truth movement" tells us gold (and precious metals) are a great investment... what they don't tell you is that these metal pushers make fantastic commission pushing their alternatives to money to us.
And what they don't tell you is how you take a $742 piece of gold and get change back when you buy a loaf of bread. They don't because they can't...
... Right now, the best investment on your money lays underneath your mattress.

Big earthquakes in California
Earthquakes so big California would break off the United States.
Up until today, that hasn't happened.
The Y2K scare
Some really negative people were frightening folks with comments about the world going dark at midnight on January 1, 2000, since electrical systems were operated by computers... because all computer processors and software using the two-digit feature were going to stop moving forward and revert back to 1900, instead of to 2000.
Fear mongers said the world would become chaotic and that money in the stock market would disappear since those monies had not been around in 1900, leaving investors penniless.
Of course, the year 2000 came and we're all okay.
Under Martial Law
The threat of widespread Martial Law is the scare monger's greatest threat to numb our minds with fear.
We're scared into thinking we'll see foreign troops and returning troops from Iraq marching in the streets to restore law and order.
As of today, this did not happen. And chances are good they won't.
Presidential election postponed
Election postponement was a popular scare mongering tool put out by a lot of alternative media... scaring us into thinking President Bush would retain power.
It didn't happen. The elections of 2008 went off without a hitch... inserting 32nd Degree Prince Hall Barack Obama (formally known as Barry Soetoro).
By the way, did you know there was a postponed mayoral election? It's true... it happened in New York city on 9/11.
Change
Every politician has promised us change since birth. Out with the old and in with the new, yet nothing changes.
Mini nukes
Professional scare monger "Dr." Bill Deagle and other "pay"triot fear pushers claim Seattle has been prewired with mini nukes.
It kind of reminds me of our parents doing duck and cover exercises under their wooden tables for protection against the effects of a nuclear detonation.
We were told nukes could come at any time without warning. Of course we haven't been nuked by Russia yet... nor has Seattle been fried by some rogue mini nuke either.
By the way, I understand the safest part of a room is next to an object, not underneath it.
Planet X Hoax
Nibiru (also known as Planet X) is "a huge planetary body, or star, is headed our way. Described as a great "Red Star," the path of this approaching, heavenly object puts it on a potential, head-to-head collision course with our planet, Earth."
Scare tactics like this predict, "Planet X will smash into, or blindside, the Earth soon, within the next few months, causing untold chaos, with the Earth literally tilting on its axis. The ensuing upheaval will spawn horrific hurricanes and unparalleled tornadoes, floods, and volcanic blowouts, and leave other planetary calamities in its wake."
Apparently, Planet X (a.k.a. Nibiru) was spotted by astronomers in the early 1980's in the outermost reaches of the Solar System.
"Millions, even billions of people will die, global warming will increase; earthquakes, drought, famine, wars, social collapse, even killer solar flares will be caused by Nibiru blasting through the core of the Solar System."
Planet X was due to arrive a in the summer of 2008... apparently, the fear mongers have decided to predict the end of the Mayan calendar... 2012 as doomsday.
Stay tuned.

Go to war with Iran
Slick fear monger Webster Tarpley has been leading the charge about Iran dumping the US dollar and starting their own oil borsch... leading to the "Neo Cons" to pick a fight with Iran.
This scaremongering has been going on since 2005.
Here's Webster Tarpley predicting war with Iran in just days:
As of today, we've yet to go to war with Iran.
Shutdown the Internet
There are many angles to this false prediction...
... According to Alex Jones' writer Paul Joseph Watson, "A landmark legal case on behalf of the Recording Industry Association of America and other global trade organizations seeks to criminalize all Internet file sharing of any kind as copyright infringement, effectively shutting down the world wide web - and their argument is supported by the U.S. government."
And according to brother Steve Watson, "internet neutrality" (also known as Internet 2) would effectively shutdown the internet and force us onto a new internet grid... only available to people with big bucks.
Even pop star "Sir" Elton John got involved in the fear mongering by saying he would like to, "... Take a broom and sweep away the entire World Wide Web."
This of course is a fantastic fear mongering because the Internet, which was given to us by the military industrial complex to monitor our every move, is here to stay.
In the past, it was the police and pastors that did all of the snooping on us... but today, every single keystroke you type is able to be recorded and analyzed by the worldwide intelligence agencies.
Yet as of today, the Internet is still up and running. And odds are good it will be years from now.
Fake UFO sightings
If you're a regular listener to George Noory's Coast To Coast AM radio broadcasts, you're probably half scared to death about UFOs landing on your back porch.
Even worse the entire alternative "pay"troit movement is conditioning us for a widespread UFO "lightshow" in the skies.
Yet as of today, this has not occurred.
Unscheduled bank holidays
As more and more banks claim bankruptcy and the value "plummets" (in quotes because as of today the dollar is nearing a two-year high), we're getting "rumors" that unscheduled bank holidays will soon be a reality.
As of today, I've never one heard of an unscheduled bank holiday.
Electric grid outages
We're told that for some reason, the electrical grid is old and hasn't been upgraded in decades.
And from time to time, the grid gets maxed out and some lose power for a few hours.
Yet as of today, I've yet to hear of the grid going down for long periods of time.
Climate change hoax
Is Global Warming real or fake? The answer is easy to find out once you read a passage in the book, "The First Global Revolution" put out by the Club of Rome. It reads:
"In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill... All these dangers are caused by human intervention and it is only through changed attitudes and behaviour that they can be overcome. The real enemy, then, is humanity itself."
The bottom line is there's no need to consult a scientist about climate change... The Club of Rome dreamed up the idea of Global Warming to control us through levying carbon credit taxes on us. Plus, it's part of the criminal, global elite's war on overpopulation (another fraud by the way).
Amero currency
By the year 2012, we're told Mexico, The United States, and Canada will merge to form the North American Union.
And the "globalists" will dump the dollar and replace it with something named the Amero.
In 2007, a few alternative "pay"troit sites showed pictures of the Amero... only these coins were actually produced by parody coin designer, Daniel Carr. And during the fall of 2008, ex-radio broadcaster Hal Turner showed up on a YouTube video showing more proof of the coming Amero... but once again, the coin was nothing more than Daniel Carr's parody coin design.
Daniel Carr's Amero designs:

Here's the bottom line:
Is the world a scary place? Absolutely yes. But is most of the scare mongering true. As we can see, absolutely no...
... Instead of living in fear, I suggest you joint us at my chat and discuss real truth with real people.
Even better, I've got dozens and dozens of audio chats ready for you to listen to. Forget listening to scare mongers like Alex Jones and Keith Olbermann and Lou Dobbs... we talk about real truth -- without the fear here.
